An SCA-based Approach for Social and Pervasive Communications in Home Environments
نویسندگان
چکیده
In home environments, the customization of applications according to inhabitant’s information requires the integration of heterogenous event sources and services. To do that, the events have to be collected and processed, and the volatile services identified and used. The information collection and service access have to be done considering the identity of users in order to avoid unexpected behaviors in the customized applications or unauthorized accesses. However, although the event flow, service mobility and user identity are key issues in the customization of applications, existing solutions fail to deal with them in a simple and flexible way. Therefore, in this paper we propose to face these issues by combining the SCA (Service Component Architecture) standard, micro-blogging services and discovery technologies. In particular, we benefit from the SCA extensibility to introduce support for social communications enabling asynchronous event exchange (via Twitter), and for pervasive communications to deal with mobility (by means of standard discovery protocols such as UPnP). Furthermore, we exploit the intents from SCA in order to allow user identification in home environments. We bring the new communications and user identity support into the FraSCAti, a platform for SCA applications. We illustrate our work with a smart home scenario requiring the integration of heterogeneous technologies. 1 France Telecom R&D, 38240 Meylan, France 2 INRIA Lille – Nord Europe, ADAM Project-team, University of Lille 1, LIFL CNRS UMR 8022, 59650 Villeneuve d’Ascq, France. متن کاملA context-sensitive dynamic role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments
Resources and services are accessible in pervasive computing environments from anywhere and at any time. Also, due to ever-changing nature of such environments, the identity of users is unknown. However, users must be able to access the required resources based on their contexts. These and other similar complexities necessitate dynamic and context-aware access control models for such environmen...
متن کاملA semantic-aware role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments
Access control in open and dynamic Pervasive Computing Environments (PCEs) is a very complex mechanism and encompasses various new requirements. In fact, in such environments, context information should be used in access control decision process; however, it is not applicable to gather all context information completely and accurately all the time. Thus, a suitable access control model for PCEs...
متن کاملDeveloping a grounded-based model of tranquility in contemporary apartments in Urmia City
Introduction: Stressful life and lack of tranquility in modern society, have been serious problems for human life. Environmental psychology has shown that physical and architectural environments play an important role in this, and since the home is one of the most important environments, they try to offer solutions. This study tries to identify the factors that play an effective role in creatin...
متن کاملTowards a Conceptual Framework for Social Wellbeing through Inclusive Frugal ICT innovation in Postcolonial Collectivist contexts
Information and Communications Technologies for Development (ICT4D) researchers regard ICT innovation as critical to the social wellbeing of the marginalized in developing countries. However, an understanding of how various political, economic and socio-cultural contexts enable or constrain the influence of inclusive frugal ICT innovation on the marginalized in developing countries remains inad...
